Sadly this mod is broken as of the february update with Crystal Creation SP (messes up the UI because of the $tupid Cart Icon! Thanks EA!!) I don't know if you're still around, but it would be nice if the mod had a second option for sprinting. If you're in first person, Shift automatically becomes the button for using the mouse on the GUI, and sprinting becomes impossible.

Does anyone know what controller layout I can use to use the controller with the direct controls mod to move my sims around, like can wasd be used on the directional pad?
it's probably best to create your own, try to mimic the console versions. As long as you have wasd bound to analog it should work just fine, everything else is up to you.
This mod is amazing; if it were fine-tuned to get rid of the stutter, I honestly don't think I would ever play without it.
A wonderful proof of concept. Also! It works absolutely wonderfully on gamepads when used through Steam's layout editor, to be honest, it feels like it was meant for that.

Is this supported on build 1.90 yet? I try to load into a game with it and the game loads indefinitely. Would I need to start a new save? Thanks for the help and the awesome mod!
I've installed it and I KNOW I don't have any conflicting mods however nothing happens when I press F1 Did I install it incorrectly or do specific things need to be done?
Update: Moving the package file out running it closing and running again seemed to work
I'm currently having a problem where my Sims walk in the direction I tell them to but then they just kind of keep walking forever through walls and objects and everything. Is this an issue with the latest update or is it a mod conflict?
This mod isn't working I press wasd and the sim stands still and then teleports to where to where they would've walked. There's no actual walking going on.
To anyone with the mod not working when pressing F1, its cos of betterbuildbuy. You cant have both installed right now as the old patch for betterbuildbuy is outdated .
It is not smooth for me at all. I'm bumping into things a lot. its cos of the way sims movement is coded I guess. Please, will you create a mini version of this mod with only the movement though doors. maybe even a click prompt on a door is enough. or maybe the ability to bring down walls like in normal third person. thanks!
Direct Controls is confirmed to be working with the latest patch 1.89.214.1030. All modules are loaded correctly and the tray UI didn't change with the patch. Make sure to enable the mod by pressing F1 or typing dc on the cheat console. Are you experiencing any other problems?

Hello I am having an issue where when I install the mod the entire upper right menu gets basically compacted into itself makes it very difficult to select anything. Is there something wrong on my end I find this mod absolutely necessary to enjoy playing. Thank you>
can you please create a small (maybe) mod. mod so that there are more cell phones and that you can also place them on the table and in your inventory. and if you don't have that cell phone in your inventory, you can't use it. such a mod we give more realistic😁😁😁😁😁😁😁👍

its working for me with the most recent dlcs, except with the online mod.
Do you think it's a simulation lag issue? Cause I don't have any conflicting mods from what I know.

Hey, is it possible that the latest patch: 1.89.214.1030 is so much different that your "May Fix" for 1.88.228.1020 isn't supported anymore?

Yea, I press F1 and type dc and it still doesnt work for some reason
Do you have BetterBuildBuy or BuildMode FreeCam installed? If so, you must uninstall those in order for Direct Controls to work.

I'm not aware of it right now. But you can try using it without BetterBuildBuy to see if it works. Let me know how it goes!
Freecam is included with BBB, likely why it wont work.
