Hello, I would like to express my gratitude for the amazing contributions behind the "Direct Control" mod. It is one of the most innovative mods for The Sims 4.
I recently managed to fix it to be compatible with the current version of The Sims 4. However, I noticed that the mod was marked "All Rights Reserved" on CurseForge. Sadly, I learned that the creator has passed away.
I would like to respect their legacy and avoid legal issues. It will not be distributed without permission; however, if anyone knows if posthumous permission can be obtained or if a representative can be contacted, please let me know. Thank you.
For me this mod works actually, but yeah it produces a little bug on UI textures but is still playable, it isn't annoying i can play smoothly with this mod :D
anyone knows if there's an alternative for this mod? such a shame Victor passed away, it's such a great mod, such a good idea, but it produces a bug in the UI textures

Hello all. Despite the fact that Victor has passed away, and no new support for this mod was found, I have decided to download it anyways
There is a comment here talking about how the Crystal SP ruined the mod due to the UI being bugged, and that's no lie. The UI is completely bugged due to this, but it seems to be only on the upper right corner, everything still works correctly. The mod itself also seems to work as advertised, despite it being slightly outdated due to the recent updates. There's a slight stutter when playing in third person, especially the more we zoom out, but, overall, this mod is working with only visual glitches happening. Unfortunately I do not know how to fix script mods, because the UI bugs are definitely due to the scripting of the mod and not the package itself.

Sadly this mod is broken as of the february update with Crystal Creation SP (messes up the UI because of the $tupid Cart Icon! Thanks EA!!) I really wish someone could update this mod because it was a great masterpiece for me and mostly for many of us! R.I.P. Victor Andrade! You'll be missed! :( :( :(
hi everyone. Sim realist made a post on patreon on behalf of Victor. He has silently lost his battle of cancer and has now passed on. I’m sorry this has happened to him but now that I know I’d rather give a moment for silence for him.
I don't know if you're still around, but it would be nice if the mod had a second option for sprinting. If you're in first person, Shift automatically becomes the button for using the mouse on the GUI, and sprinting becomes impossible.
hi I have just downloaded this mod and it has not been working. I downloaded it on curse forge at first I thought it wasn't working because i had BBB, so i deleted it but its still not working.

Does anyone know what controller layout I can use to use the controller with the direct controls mod to move my sims around, like can wasd be used on the directional pad?
it's probably best to create your own, try to mimic the console versions. As long as you have wasd bound to analog it should work just fine, everything else is up to you.

what's the process you used to get it to work? as for the rights reserved... the creator passed away, share away.
Since the author passed, I would post the fix.
Many people, including myself, would love to be able to use this on the recent update.
Just remember to give credit to Victor and his amazing contribution to the Sims community.

Not to make infants WASD control, just to run it smoother on the new patch. It’s just a little laggy
